Hi everyone!

 
I would like to invite you to participate in a short survey that focuses on better understanding career aspirations and motivations to lead among information professionals. Leadership skills are not often taught in MLS programs, so ensuring that opportunities to build those skills are widely available can offer positive impacts, such as advancement opportunities or higher compensation. This study will examine factors of educational experiences, current job experiences, and leadership support, as well as barriers to career advancement. Anticipated benefits of this study include greater insight into the development of leadership skills and motivation within the information field, particularly among Black, Indigenous, and People of Color [BIPOC] librarians and archivists.

Anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as a librarian and/or archivist (regardless of current employment status) is eligible to participate. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to answer approximately 30 questions, which should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
